Apollo and Daphne

Daphne was a girl that Apollo fell in love with.  But Daphne was not in love with Apollo.  He was smitten with her and chased her, but she called for her father to help her.  She turned into a laurel/bay tree as Apollo was able to catch her and hold her.  Because he could never love her this way, he honored her memory by creating the laurel/bay wreath in her honor and memory.

Apollo also travelled with Dionysus-Osiris on his global journeys to civilize the world.

Apollo

Apollo Victorious over the Python by the Florentine Pietro Francavilla (dated 1591) depicting Apollo's first triumph, when he slew with his bow and arrows the serpent Python, which lies dead at his feet[43] (The Walters Art Museum

Apollo was the son of Zeus and Leto and the fraternal twin brother of Artemis.  He was a powerful god, a sun god, and was famous for his slaying of the python of Delphi.  He was known for being the god of music and medicine and prophecy.  His cult took over the Oracle of Delphi which originally belonged to Gaia.

His equivalent in Nordic mythology was Frey and he went on to live out his life as a king in the Nordic countries of Europe.  He also had many children and many loves.

Once again, here is his connection to Crete from Wikipedia:

It seems an oracular cult existed in Delphi from the Mycenaean ages.[57] In historical times, the priests of Delphi were called Labryaden, "the double-axe men", which indicates Minoan origin. The double-axe, labrys, was the holy symbol of the Cretan labyrinth.[58][59] The Homeric hymn adds that Apollo appeared as a dolphin and carried Cretan priests to Delphi, where they evidently transferred their religious practices. Apollo Delphinios was a sea-god especially worshiped in Crete and in the islands, and his name indicates his connection with Delphi[60] and the holy serpent Delphyne ("womb").[citation needed] Apollo's sister Artemis, who was the Greek goddess of hunting, is identified with Britomartis (Diktynna), the Minoan "Mistress of the animals". In her earliest depictions she is accompanied by the "Mister of the animals", a male god of hunting who had the bow as his attribute. We don't know his original name, but it seems that he was absorbed by the more powerful Apollo, who stood by the "Mistress of the animals", becoming her brother.[53]

The Sumerian Utu is the Greek Apollo

The sun god and god of justice of Sumer was Utu (also known as Shamash).  Brother of Inanna and Dumuzi just as Apollo was brother to Aphrodite and Dionysus, his description matches that of the Greek god Apollo.  He was the law giver as well.

Is Gamla Uppsala the Burial Mound of Apollo?

Gamla Uppsala is an area rich in archaeological remains: seen from the grave field whose larger mounds (left part) are close to the royal mounds. The building beyond the mounds is the church and to its right is the low Ting-mound and then the museum.

The equivalent of Apollo in Nordic mythology is Freyr.  He is the son of Zeus who is the Nordic Odin.  I am now moving into Nordic mythology and its analysis and have much to reveal through the writings of the Poetic Edda and Heimskringla.
The burial mound was used by the Amazons of old (see Diodorus Siculus’ Library of History) and was adopted by some of the ancient Greek (and all mythology) Gods and Goddesses all though some of these ancient people chose cremation (Zeus and Heracles chose cremation).
Now please remember (for those new to my work), that my Mythological Unification Theory has unlocked the secret of these ancient people from Crete and Tyre through the death of the Father God’s son to show how these people are equivalent through out world mythology and including Abrahamic religion.  I’ve also proven that they traveled and I will link an article regarding current DNA tests that are beginning to back up my theory.
It appears that the ancient Apollo-Freyr God took up residence here and may be buried here as well.  I will post a story about his death in a later post.  For now, let’s look at this passage from Wikipedia to get started:
Gamla Uppsala (“Old Uppsala”) is a parish and a village outside Uppsala in Sweden. It had 16,231 inhabitants in 1991.
As early as the 3rd century AD and the 4th century AD and onwards, it was an important religious, economic and political centre.[1] Early written sources show[clarification needed] that already during pre-history, Gamla Uppsala was well known in Northern Europe as the residence of the Swedish kings of the legendaryYngling dynasty.[2] In fact, the oldest Scandinavian sources, such as Ynglingatal, theWestrogothic law and the Gutasaga talk of the king of Sweden as the “King at Uppsala”.[3]
Medieval Scandinavians held Gamla Uppsala as one of the oldest and most important locations in Scandinavia. The Danish chronicler Saxo Grammaticus held Odin himself to have resided in Gamla Uppsala far back in the mists of time:

At this time there was one Odin, who was credited over all Europe with the honour, which was false, of godhead, but used more continually to sojourn at Uppsala; and in this spot, either from the sloth of the inhabitants or from its own pleasantness, he vouchsafed to dwell with somewhat especial constancy.[10]
This tradition was also known by the Icelandic historian Snorri Sturluson, who, however had Odin reside in nearby Fornsigtuna, whereas the god Freyr lived in Gamla Uppsala.[11] Freyr is also said to have founded two of the central institutions of Iron Age Sweden, the Uppsala öd and the Temple at Uppsala:

Frey took the kingdom after Njord, and was called drot by the Swedes, and they paid taxes to him. He was, like his father, fortunate in friends and in good seasons. Frey built a great temple at Uppsala, made it his chief seat, and gave it all his taxes, his land, and goods. Then began the Upsal domains, which have remained ever since.[11]
Keep an eye on this blog for further examination of Nordic mythology and how it connects to all other mythologies around the world to tell the saga of the ancient Cronide family that travelled and civilized the world.

Snorri Sturluson and the Nordic God Freyr

"Freyr" (1901) by Johannes Gehrts. (public domain)

Snorri Sturluson was an Icelandic scholar who was born in 1179 AD.  He researched and wrote extensively about Nordic mythology and traditions by getting the information from elderly Nordic people who could still recite the history of the Nordic people.  He is credited with writing the Heimskringla, the Prose Edda, and possibly some of the Poetic Edda (all though the authors of many of these stories are still unknown).

I have equated through my Mythological Unification Theory the Nordic God Freyr to the Greek Apollo.  After all of his adventures in the middle East and the Mediterranean, he settled with his sister Freyja (the Greek Artemis) in Sweden.  Here is what Snorri wrote about Freyr:

The first age is called the Age of Cremation.  In that age it was the custom to burn all the dead and to raise memorial stones after them; but  after Frey was put to reset in a burial mound at Uppsalir [Uppsala], many chieftains used to erect burial mounds as often as memorial stones to commemorate departed relatives.  However after Dan the Proud, the Danish king, had a burial mound made for himself and decreed that he was to be carried into it when dead, in all his royal vestments and armor, together with his horse, fully saddled, and much treasure besides, and when many of his kinsmen did likewise, then began the Age of Sepulchral Mounds  However, the Age of Cremation persisted for a long time among Swedes an Norwegians. - Snorri Sturluson, Heimskringla, pages 3-4.

Now in Nordic mythology, Njordr who was a ship builder, was the father of Freyr and Freyja.  But it was Zeus-Odin who was the father with the mother Leto of their Greek equivalents, Apollo & Artemis.  It is said that they were adopted by Odin after the war between the Vanir and Aesir and prisoners were exchanged as Freyr and Freyja were part of the Vanir.  As an interpreter of mythology, it is hard to say what is more accurate, but in any case they are considered children of Odin-Zeus.  Also note, that the Amazon practice of burial mounds was brought into Sweden by Freyr.  From my research, some of the Amazons were intermarried to the Cronides.

For those following my work, you know that I believe Ragnarok already happened. Per Wikipedia, Freyr is killed at Ragnarok:

Although deprived of this weapon, Freyr defeats the jötunn Beli with an antler. However, lacking his sword, Freyr will be killed by the fire jötunn Surtr during the events of Ragnarök.

If you don't believe me that Zeus is Odin, please refer to this from Wikipedia:

Snorri Sturluson starts his epic history of the kings of Norway with Ynglinga saga, a euhemerized account of the Norse gods. Here Odin and the Æsir are men from Asia who gain power through their prowess in war and Odin's skills

Do you see that Odin and his "Aesir" are "men from Asia", just as Zeus is credited from coming from Tyre and Crete and conquering Asia and the whole world, eventually?

I have also found a passage stating that the wife of Njord would not have relations with him, but married Odin instead, so it is possible that Freyr and Freyja are Odin-Zeus' biological children (Heimskringla by Snorri Sturluson, page 12).

Another Hidden Human Story Update

Today is Tuesday May 13, 2025.  I have been updating and working on my online presence and research.  I have uploaded some old posts to this...
