Helen Blavatsky was a Russian occultist who helped create the Theosophical Society with the help of Henry Steel Olcott, and William Quan Judge. She lived from July 1831 – 8 May 1891 and she wrote several books. The Secret Doctrine is one of the most interesting. I would say that she combined Gnosticism, Eastern Mysticism, and Christianity in her belief system.
Helen believed there were five previous races of the humans and two more to come. She believed the first three were androgynous and the fourth was hermaphrodite. The fifth race was the Atlantian race of giant stature ( 9 to 12 feet per her writings) with two different genders as today. The sixth race is being created in America right now in the 21st century and the seventh race is yet to come.
From The Secret Doctrine:
“The Giants of old are all buried under the Oceans, and hundreds of thousands of years of constant friction by water would reduce to dust and pulverize a brazen, far more a human skeleton.”
“Thus, since Vaivasvata Manu’s Humanity appeared on this Earth, there have already been four such axial disturbances; when the old continents-save the first one-were sucked in by the oceans, other lands appeared, and huge mountain chains arose where there and been one before. The face of the Globe was completely changed each time; the survival of the fittest nations and races was secured through timely help; and the unfit ones-the failures-were disposed of by being swept oft the earth. Such sorting and shifting does not happen between sunset and sunrise, as one may think,, but requires several thousands of years before the new house is set in order.”
“Certain excavations in America in mounds and in caves, have already yielded in isolated cases groups of skeletons of nine and twelve feet high. These belong t tribes of the early Fifth Race, now degenerated to an average size of between five and six feet.”
It is also interesting to note that Helen never classified a root race as having only one skin color. In fact she said each root race had multiple skin colors around the world.
I have visited the Theosophical Society in Illinois and I did not feel the “scary” feeling that I thought I would. The old building of the Theosophical Society just had some meeting rooms and a library with many books regarding religion and philosophy.
I did not see a baphomet symbol or homage to Satan, but I did see a picture of the Virgin Mary with Jesus as well as many other things. Here are some of the pictures I took of the old place:
I just felt as if the place was meant to study the religions and philosophies of the world.
Lastly, the system that Helen subscribed to was a dualistic system. She stated there was no light if there was no darkness. Strangely, she attributed the darkness to Lucifer and the light to Jehovah.
“The devil is now called Darkness by the Church, whereas, in the Bible he is called the “Son of God” (see Job), the bright star of the early morning, Lucifer (see Isaiah).”
“He is transformed by the Church into Lucifer or Satan, because he is higher and older than Jehovah, and had to be sacrificed to the new dogma.”
My personal opinion matches what the Roman scholar Valerius Maximus stated in his book and that is that the Abrahamic God is Jupiter Sabazios which is Zeus. Satan/Lucifer is Prometheus. These “white” men and their blood relations lived over 15,000 years ago and they travelled the world to spread their mysteries. These two men were cousins. Their mysteries have been twisted into the religions of today. I don’t think anyone knows the truth of how things came to be on this planet, but ancient mythologies and science come close.
