Foster Bailey - Running God's Plan

I’ve read the book by Alice Bailey’s husband, Foster Bailey, entitled, Running God’s Plan.  He basically restates what Alice Bailey was stating and says his mission was to support her work and the Tibetan’s (Djwal Khul’s) work.

One thing he wrote that caught my eye was that his life was “strenuous” which indicates to me, that both he and his wife had a hard time surviving economically in the world.
As I look back at the end of a strenuous life, I find deep satisfaction in the promise so evident around us of greater usefulness for our worldwide group than ever has been so evident before.
Foster Bailey, Running God’s Plan, page 2.
This book seeks to present some aspects of a long, strenuous discipleship life pledged to two main purpose.  One: my commitment to making the life work of Alice A. Bailey successful.  Two:  my commitment ot D.K to publish and sell his teaching on a worldwide basis, plus financial responsibility for both.  I hope that other disciples and aspirants to discipleship will be helped to a better understanding of some things inherent in discipleship work in relation to the work of the Hierarchy and to the eseentials of new age group consciousness.
Foster Bailey, Running God’s Plan, page 1.
He revealed as Alice did, that the hierarchy consisted of disincarnated souls who had lived before as a human.
Our planetary Hierarchy is very old-as old as humanity itself.  It came into existence in ancient Atlantean days when the spark of mind was implanted in the animal kingdom, thus starting human evolution.  At first the guides of the race came from other parts of our solar system.  This was necessary because we had not yet produced any leaders of our own.  If this was not so, there could not have been any guidance for God’s Plan.  This is a matter of reasonable belief.  It is not foolish to have beliefs nor to try to live by them.  The best brains in human family today have beliefs.

Gradually as time went on the original members of the Hierarchy were released for home duty, so to speak, as their places could be filled by those in humanity who achieved the necessary wisdom.  Today the Hierarchy is a body of human beings, evolved on this planet.  It is our Hierarchy.  There are none in it who have not been tempted and tried as have we.  They have all won through.

The head of he Hierarchy, the Christ himself, is a human being.  It is a great mistake to think of him as only the head of one religion out of many.  He is a real man living and working in a human body,  He has never left us but is in incarnation on the physical plane now.  His reappearance will be an emergence into  outer public life.  He does not have to be born a baby again.  He has served as head of the Hierarchy for a regular 2,250 year cycle and is the first of our humanity to continue to serve for a second term.  He is the greatest success our human evolution has ever produced.
Foster Bailey, Running God’s Plan, page 8.
So you can see from his writing that not only has he asserted that extra-terrestrial beings guided our evolution, but that the Hierarchy consists of entities and that Christ never left his body and is living in a body that is over 2,000 years old.  Further he stated in the rest of the book that the hierarchy meets twice every hundred years to discuss the evolution of humanity.
The Hierarchy holds a general conference twice in a  century.  The next one will be in 1975.

Lastly, he discusses the plans of schools and groups along with the United Nations that will be used to govern and influence the planet.  He also cited the United States military and its budget as an obstacle to world peace.

The annual budget of the United Nations is 900 million dollars.  This, considering the tremendous amount of work done and the saving force in world affairs it created, is small indeed.
Foster Bailey, Running God’s Plan, page 98.

Radio and television are the greatest menace to the organized, government-controlled, indoctrinating machine which is in full action today.  Nevertheless men of goodwill can influence individuals and organizations, now so largely shaping public opinion.  Enlightened public opinion, fed by the truth, is the bedrock foundation of democracy and the best hope we have that we can build a better civilization in the new age.

There are 1700 daily newspapers in the United States and thousands of weeklies.  There are 7200 radio station and 650 television stations.  To allow them to be intimidated into promoting our military establishment is sure death to democracy.  In 1969 military public relations spent 28 million and the United States Department of Defense spends over 3 1/2million.
Foster Bailey, Running God’s Plan, page 51.

His comments about the United States military having too much influence over media is rather interesting considering the “people” who run the media.  Look into it.
